‘Salmon and People in a Changing World’
IYS Photo Contest in the North Atlantic
To mark the International Year of the Salmon (IYS), the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization (NASCO) is launching a Photo Contest for the North Atlantic.
We are seeking images specifically of wild North Atlantic salmon and their environment taken in the North Atlantic basin. Photos can incorporate any of the five key themes of the IYS: status of salmon, salmon in a changing salmosphere, new frontiers, human dimension and information systems.
The Contest is open to photographers of all skill levels and will be judged by a panel consisting of professional photographers, salmon experts and representatives from NASCO.
Prizes will be awarded in a Youth Category (ages 12 – 16) and Adult Category (age 17 and older). There will be one grand prize winner for each category. The prize for the adult category is £500 and the prize for the youth category is £250. Winners will be contacted via email after the panel has made its decision. In addition to the prize money, the winning photographs will be featured on the IYS website.
Submission will be accepted via email. All submissions should be emailed to email@example.com with the subject IYS Atlantic Salmon Photo Contest Submission.
